    What you'll be doing

    As an Area Leader, you’ll be responsible for delivering a memorable customer experience, carrying out our mission and driving the success of every store in your area. And we don’t just mean success by the numbers. We use a scorecard that measures success by what matters most: the store’s impact and experience. As an Area Leader, you’ll use this scorecard to ensure we’re truly bettering people’s days in every community we serve.


    How you’ll impact the Philz community:

    • You’ll be responsible for the experience and success of 4 stores initially with additional store growth over the next few years.
    • Creating the best experience means spending a lot of time in stores. Typically, one day a week is dedicated to administration while the others are spent in stores.
    • You’ll build relationships with and inspire your team, especially the store leader.
    • You’ll connect with the store leader, helping them improve by setting a good example, giving feedback, coaching, and communicating our mission and values.
    • Through your effective leadership you'll achieve continuous improvement in each store’s scorecard every month.
    • Our team is one big family. You’ll work with other departments to create, pilot and implement programs to help us grow and deliver our mission.
    • Contribute to our success by being open, honest and willing to act.


    What you'll need to succeed

    • 5+ years managing the financial success of multiple retail locations (ideally more than 5)
    • Experience successfully leading a team in a customer service environment (coffee experience is not required, but previous multi-unit retail management experience is!)
    • Strong verbal and written communication
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
    • Flexibility and creativity in problem solving - you roll with the punches and have fun doing it
    • A love for bettering People's Day and creating amazing guest experiences
    • Prior new store opening experience
    • Strong Business Acumen
    • Ability to travel
